Sorbent for removal of antimony and manganese from radioactive liquids, and purification of liquids from ions of silicon and polyvalent metal

Description
Sorbent RATZIR is inorganic sorbent based on zirconium hydroxide. Sorbent is available in two versions: RATZIR and RATZIR-K (composite). RATZIR-K contained microparticles of zirconium hydroxide, chemically fixed on the granules of natural aluminosilicate (opal).
The porous support in the sorbent composition provides greater access to sorption sites which increases the capacitance per unit weight of sorbing agent and improves the kinetics of sorption.

Zirconium hydroxide may extract ions of polyvalent metals, including lead and bismuth ions of silicon, iron, manganese and antimony from aqueous solutions. It is used for removal of decay products of radon and alpha-emitting radionuclides.
